So just what is art? Well art can be a very diverse range of activities crated by humankind. Oil paintings by Da Vinci, finger-painting by your daughter or scrimshaw created by the Eskimos remembering all these different types of art were created by humans. That's right termites have never sung opera, butterflies have never even tried to paint with oil and sea bass cannot render a digital 3D image. Art in all it's connotations belongs to humankind!

A couple of years ago during a period of extremely stressful work involving with a fair amount of OT and far too much driving to different work locations, a supervisor of mine at that time sent out a an e-mail with some images attached to help boost morale of our teams. Actually that is a guess he may have had other reasons for sending the e-mail, but the timing was perfect!

Unfortunately the supervisor did not relate where or how he received the original e-mail or if he found the images on a website. So I am unable to give proper credit.

Now what I found amazing was the fact that whomever the artist is, the medium used was amazingly unusual in that the canvas or medium were human hands! We naturally think of art being an image painted on a canvas made of paper, wood or even cloth. Here the medium for the artwork is human skin.
